MAY PLANT BONANZA!

 Certain gardeners in Wichenford are gearing themselves up for a BIG plant bonanza!!  On Sunday 12th May 2024  not only will Pear Tree Cottage garden will be opening for the National Garden Scheme but - across the lane in Sandra's garden at Maranatha, she and Pat Finch will be hosting a massive plant sale full of unusual bargains and all in aid of St. Laurence Church!

Meanwhile in the award winning Pear Tree Cottage garden, morning coffees and homemade afternoon teas will be served to visitors whilst they are serenaded by Bells and Barrels Clarinet Choir.

CHEQUE PRESENTATIONS!

 Following all the hard work involved, we are very excited to share news of cheque presentations to our beneficiaries in a rain free Pear Tree Cottage Garden!!  Pat Finch supplied a veritable feast for all.  Despite the sunshine, we didn't tempt fate by serving al fresco.  Instead, Pat's banquet was served in less salubrious and far less deserving surroundings - the garage!

We do of course wish to thank each and every single person who helped make this event such a GREAT success.  Pats on the back all round!!

Beneficiaries Announced!!

  

As the sun sets on the Gardens of Wichenford 2023 and ALL the pennies have been counted, we surpassed ourselves by raising a record £11,000.00.  We send an enormous vote of thanks to everyone who made this possible by participating, helping, organising and supporting!

Money is being distributed as follows:

• Nora Parsons Day Centre             £1,650.00
• Acorns Hospice                             £1,375.00
• St Richards Hospice                     £1,375.00
• Worcester Food Bank                   £1,100.00
• Worcestershire Young Carers       £1,100.00

A presentation of cheques is being made in Pear Tree Cottage Garden 6pm - 8pm on Monday 17th July 2023 to which all garden owners and helpers are most cordially invited.
